THE SPECTACLES

Gli occhiali (The spectacles) is a chamber opera in three acts written on the homonym story by E. A. Poe. It was performed for the first time in Pesaro, Teatro G. Rossini by the Orchestra Sinfonica G. Rossini, in 2017, conducted by Noris Borgogelli.

Ensemble:
violin, cello, double-bass, english horn, clarinet, bassoon, piano, percussions (one performer).

Voices and characters:
Madame Lalande (mezzosoprano), Napoleone (tenor), Talbot (tenor), butler (baritone or soprano) .
